1. Eligibility & Registration
- Participants: Open to individual students only. Valid College / University ID is mandatory.
- Deadline: Registration closes on 25th February 2026. No on-the-spot registration.
2. Performance Guidelines
- a negative marking (-5 points per 30 seconds).
- Style: Participants can perform Original Compositions (preferred) or Covers.
- Backing Tracks:
- Tracks must be submitted 24 hours prior to the event via [Google Form/Email Link].
- Format: MP3 or WAV only.
- Backup: Participants must strictly carry a backup of their track on a USB drive on the event day.
- Vocals: Backing tracks must be instrumental only. No pre-recorded lead vocals are allowed (ad-libs/doubles are permitted).
3. Content & Decorum (Strict)
- Censorship: Sangeetam is a university fest. Lyrics strictly CANNOT contain:
- Hate speech or discrimination.
- Direct threats of violence.
- Political propaganda.
- Profanity: Mild profanity is tolerated if artistic, but excessive obscenity will lead to the mic being cut.
- Reading: Reading lyrics from a phone or paper is prohibited. You must memorize your verse.
4. Judging Criteria
- Lyrical Content: Rhyme scheme, wordplay, and storytelling.
- Flow & Delivery): Clarity, speed, and rhythm.
- Stage Presence: Confidence and body language.
- Crowd Interaction: Ability to hype the audience.
The final divide up and if any changes will be informed to you 72 hours before the competition.
5. General Rules
- Reporting Time: 30 minutes before the competition starts.
- Prizes: Winner + Runner Up (Cash Prize + Certificate).
- Organizer Rights: The organizing team reserves the right to disqualify any participant for misconduct or modify the schedule if necessary.
- Technical Glitches: If the sound system fails (organizer fault), the participant gets a restart. If the participant forgets lyrics/chokes, no restart is allowed.
