SOLO DANCE – ROUND 1

Competition: Footloose (Solo Dance Competition) – Preliminary Round Theme: Open Genre (Classical, Hip-hop, Contemporary, Folk, Fusion, etc.)

1. Registration & Eligibility

• Eligibility: Open to individual students only. All participants must possess a valid University/College ID card.
• Registration Fee: Rs. 150 (Non-refundable).
• Deadline: Registration must be completed by 30th Jan 2026.
• Limit: One entry per student.

2. Video Submission Guidelines

• Task: Submit a continuous, unedited video of your performance.
• Duration: Minimum 2.0 minutes, Maximum 2.5 minutes.
• Format: YouTube link (Unlisted/Public) or Google Drive link (Open Access).

• Rules:
  • The video must be a single take with no cuts or editing.
  • The dancer’s feet and expressions must be clearly visible.
  • Recent rehearsal videos or stage performance clips are accepted.
  • Costume is not mandatory for the screening round.

3. Selection Process

• Entries will be screened by a panel of choreographers based on technique, rhythm, and expression.
• The Top 8-10 Dancers will be shortlisted for the Grand Finale at Sangeetam 2026.
• Results will be announced via email and social media by 2nd Feb 2026.

4. Organizer Rights

• Organizers reserve the right to reject entries with incomplete information or corrupted links.
• Participation implies full acceptance of these preliminary rules.
