1. Eligibility & Registration
- Participants: Open to individual students only. Valid College / University ID is mandatory.
2. Performance Guidelines
- Time Limit: 3 Minutes maximum.
- The “Human Only” Rule: No loop stations, pedals, effect processors, or external instruments are allowed. All sounds must be produced vocally/nasally.
- Mic Hygiene:
- A professional dynamic microphone will be provided.
- The microphone grill will be sanitized with alcohol wipes between every single contestant.
- Participants are allowed to bring their own microphone (XLR connection) if they prefer, but must inform the tech team at registration.
3. Technical Rules
- Mic Technique: Cupping the mic is allowed, but damaging the equipment (hitting/dropping the mic) will result in a fine.
- Content: No offensive gestures or sounds simulating hate speech.
4. Judging Criteria
- Musicality: Melody and groove.
- Technical Skill: Complexity of beats, speed, and clarity.
- Originality: Unique sounds or routines.
- Stage Presence: Energy and confidence.
The final divide up and if any changes will be informed to you 72 hours before the competition.
