1. Eligibility & Registration
- The competition is open to college/university student teams only.
- Each team must consist of 2–10 members.
- Only one movie per team is allowed.
- Registration deadline: on or before 20th February, 2026.
- The movie submission deadline is 25th February, 2026.
- Registration will be considered valid only after successful movie submission.
- Late registrations or submissions will not be accepted.
2. Movie Duration
- Minimum Duration: 5 minutes
- Maximum Duration: 15 minutes
(Including titles and end credits)
- Movies exceeding the time limit will result in point deduction or disqualification.
- Minimum duration must be strictly respected.
3. Theme & Genre
- Movies may be based on any theme or genre.
- Participants are free to showcase their creativity.
- Content must not:
- Be offensive, abusive, or obscene
- Promote hatred or violence
- Contain political or religious propaganda
4. Language & Subtitles.
- The movie may be in Hindi/ English/ Urdu.
- English subtitles are mandatory for non-English Movie
5. Submission Guidelines

- Maximum File Size: 27 MB
- Accepted Formats: MP4 / MOV
- Minimum Resolution: 720p (1080p preferred)
- Aspect Ratio: Open
- Audio and video must be clear and properly synchronized.
- Any recording device may be used (mobile phone, DSLR, camcorder, etc.).
- Late or incorrect submissions will be rejected.
6. Originality & Copyright
- Movies must be original and self-produced.
- Plagiarism or copying from existing movies/films is prohibited
- Participants must own rights to:
- Music
- Video footage
- Images and graphics
- Any Copyright violations will lead to immediate disqualification
7. Screening Process
Stage 1: Primary Screening (Online)
- All submitted movies will undergo online screening by the organizers.
- Selection criteria:
- Originality of concept
- Technical quality (visuals, sound, editing)
- Adherence to time limits and rules
- First-come, first-served (submission order)
- Only Movie meeting the required standards will be shortlisted for the final stage.
- Results will be announced via email and official Sangeetam social media.
Stage 2: Final Screening (Auditorium – On Stage)
- Shortlisted movies will be screened on the auditorium stage.
- Screening will take place before a panel of judges.
- Final evaluation and ranking will be based solely on the judges’ assessment.
- Participants are required to be present during the screening.
8. Judging Criteria (Final Stage)
Movie screened in the final stage will be judged on :
- Story & Screenplay
- Direction & Creativity
- Cinematography & Editing
- Sound Design & Music Usage
- Overall Impact and Audience Engagement
9. Disqualification Criteria
A Movie can be disqualified at any stage if it:
- Violates any rule or guideline
- Contains inappropriate, offensive, or prohibited content
- Promotes political or religious propaganda
- Involves plagiarism or copyright infringement
- Exceeds duration or file size limits
- Is submitted after the deadline
- Fails technical quality standards
- Does not follow submission or formatting requirements
The organizers’ decision regarding disqualification is final and non-negotiable.
10. Results & Prizes
- Winners will be announced after the final on-stage screening.
- Prize money will be announced on the spot.
- Awards :
- Winner : Best film(overall) : Cash Prize, Certificate and Shoutout on Sangeetam official Social media
- Runner-up : Best story ; Gift Hamper, Certificate and a Reel Shout out.
- Remaining Participants will awarded with participation
- Judges’ decisions will be final and binding.
